Villa Gjeçaj’s architecture prevails, concerning the conventional building, bringing the best of stone and wood carving, crafts characteristics of the Shala region. Villa Gjeçaj is a gem located in the heart of Thethi valley, famous for its beauty, only 250 meters from the village center. Villa Gjecaj is inspired by traditions, by the picturesque scenery around Thethi National Park and it is animated by the spirit of innovation and cordiality. Amongst the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, the fresh air, and pristine beauty where nature reveals its stunning elegance, you have the chance to enjoy a traditional kitchen with homemade food and comfortable rooms to embrace yourself. We have continued to develop our concept over the last 14 years. Thanks to local artisan’s work Villa Gjeçaj elegantly combines the old techniques with modern style, all can be seen in the details of each rooms’ design, on the restaurant area, and the exterior walls, doors, and windows of the Villa. Our complex is made out of two accommodation structures, the old tower, which preserves Gjeçaj’s family history of changes for over ninety years, and the residence built-in during the 2013 year.

Kjo vepër, kushtuar një prej figurave më të fuqishme të lashtësisë ilire, u ngrit me nismën e Marin Memës dhe me kontributin e shqiptarëve, ndërsa vendosja e saj u mundësua nga Bashkia Lezhë.

Theth, 1938.

Një pamje e rrallë e Thethit, fotografuar në vitin 1938 nga mjeshtri shkodran Shan Pici dhe dërguar si kartolinë më 15 mars 1952.

Në luginë dallohen vetëm pak ndërtesa, të shpërndara mes tokës, pyjeve dhe maleve. Një Theth pothuajse i paprekur, ku njeriu jetonte brenda peizazhit, pa u përpjekur ta sundonte atë.

Kjo kartolinë nuk është vetëm një kujtim i vjetër. Ajo është dëshmi e ndryshimit të Thethit dhe një paralajmërim i heshtur për mënyrën se si duhet të ndërtojmë të ardhmen e tij.

Zhvillimi është i nevojshëm. Por nëse humbasim peizazhin, përmasën njerëzore dhe kujtesën e vendit, mund të ndërtojmë më shumë — dhe të kemi gjithnjë e më pak Theth.
