Dubai CommerCity, the region's first and leading free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce and a joint venture between DIEZ and Wasl Properties, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Commerce Foundation.

The MoU was signed at Dubai CommerCity’s headquarters on the sideline of Ai Everything Abu Dhabi 2026, reflecting the event’s importance as a platform that brings together AI and technology leaders, investors and innovators, and showcases the latest practical applications of advanced technologies.

The partnership aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for trade, the digital economy and innovation, expand foreign trade and harness advanced technologies to create new economic opportunities.

Dubai CommerCity, the first and leading free zone dedicated to digital commerce in the MENA region and part of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Commerce Foundation to drive innovation in digital commerce and explore applications of agentic AI in the sector.

The partnership will also focus on applied research, proof-of-concept projects, technology demonstrations, market studies, the exchange of best practices, and the development of business cases and knowledge content.

“We are transforming AI from a supporting tool into a driver of growth.

This partnership aligns with Dubai’s vision to strengthen its position as a global hub for trade and the digital economy. It also supports the emirate’s efforts to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and enable the private sector to use them to increase productivity and build more competitive business models.”
