It’s been a wet minute, which feels almost rude given the pile of nonsense everyone’s already been dealing with this month... Still, if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that the people of the UAE are tough as nails.

We know the last couple of weeks have felt a bit odd, heavy, and generally like the world’s been carrying on with absolutely no indoor voice. So if you’re still doing that strange version of business as usual, we reckon a good meal and a decent bit of weekend comfort might be one of the better ways to deal with it.�
We’ve been in the kitchen doing what we do best, keeping busy, making tasty things, and trying to give you something worth leaving the house for.�
First up:
LEMON CHICKEN FREEKEH��Juicy chicken breast, grilled halloumi, silky labneh, nutty freekeh, baby spinach, spring onion, fresh pear, and herbs, all brought together in one of those annoyingly well balanced dishes that feels wholesome, proper, and seriously satisfying at the same time.
�You’ve got savoury, creamy, salty, fresh, and just enough sweetness from the pear to keep the whole thing interesting from start to finish.�
And if you’d like to make an already good decision even better, add 2 dukkah crusted eggs.�

Earlier this month ( ) we thought we’d do something special for our regulars, the ones who’ve been popping in practically every day over all these years, .the unofficial shareholders of our little café.

Only problem was making sure we didn’t miss anyone, so we launched a full internal operation: staff huddle, whiteboard chaos, and people confidently identifying customers using nothing but ordering preferences.
If you’ve ever walked in and been hit with “the usual?” before you’ve even blinked, congratulations, you’re absolutely on the list.

First up: the Byron Breakkie Burger.
Starting with a Beef and potato latke - juicy with a bit of crunch - topped with an extra cheesy omelette, shuffled into a butter toasted brioche bun layered with our epic burger spread, and finished with kale chips.
