Every month, we choose a new photographer who we love in Dubai to show us glimpses of life here and the people that make it.

Ammar Al Attar, a UAE native, uses photography to archive the changes he sees around him, and to keep record of the visual history of his surroundings. He captures places and people with their originality and humble habits still in tact.

Our friends gulf photo plus are putting on this wonderful show tomorrow night! Everyday Middle East Founder Lindsay Mackenzie and Contributing Photographer Ahmad Mousa will talk about the collaborative Instagram-based photo project and about the visual representation of the region in the media. Plus, they'll share tips about mobile phone photography, growing an Instagram following, and using social media to promote visual projects.

Really excited for this one! Our sister spaces The Archive Dubai & Creekside are taking part in the Dubai Food Festival this year with the Urban Farm - a local food market which celebrates Dubai's home grown culinary concepts.
The Urban Farm will pop up at The Archive on Sat 7 Feb and at Creekside on Sat 28 Feb. Stay tuned for more details soon!
