Jun’s Short Story, a six-course tasting menu, that brings together some of our most loved dishes, each rooted in Chef Kelvin’s journey through Third Culture cooking.

From the playful Lobster Pani Puri, to the ever-evolving Watermelon born from friendships across borders, to a deeply personal Hot & Sour Wonton Soup inspired by his early days in Chicago, every course carries a memory, a moment, a place.

Choose between Wagyu Steak and Handmade Noodles or the indulgentJuicy Lucy Burger, before moving into desserts that reflect both nostalgia and home, from loomi-laced summers to childhood treats shared with family.

It’s everything Jun’s stands for, flavour, culture, storytelling, now told in a more accessible, intimate format.

At Jun’s, we make our potstickers from local Omani prawns fresh from the market in the morning and whip it with wagyu beef. They’re lightly seared for texture and served with a hot and sour soup poured tableside.

They’re best eaten as soon as the soup is poured so that it has the depth of flavour from the soup yet still retain the crispiness.

This year, our Luqaimat should remind you of the taste of funnel cake.

We serve them hot and crisp, with a sea salt caramel mousse that adds depth and just enough salinity to balance the sweetness. Alongside it, a scoop of our house made vanilla bean ice cream, creamy, because that contrast of temperature is what makes each bite exciting.

And this year, they’re still gluten free.

Ramadan is about gathering. About making space at the table. If we can make something that feels rooted in tradition but opens the door to more people sharing it, then we’re doing something right.

Each time we put Luqaimat on the menu at Jun’s, it’s not to modernise it for the sake of being different, but to create something that still feels generous and indulgent, and approach it with respect and a point of view.

Rainbow Heirloom Carrots. 🥕

Upon immigrating, chef Kelvin’s mother fell in love with bagels topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese.

He’s recreated the same smokey flavour in a vegetarian form with charred Rainbow Heirloom Baby Carrots served over smoked labneh and topped with candied walnuts - an iconic garnish in American Chinese Walnut Shrimp - as an ode to his Chinese heritage served with house baked sourdough.
