THE SPICES OF CHETTINAD

Chettinad cuisine is known for its aromatic, freshly prepared spice blends, rather than simply being “very spicy.” At Anjappar, we celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Chettinad through our blend of spices.

From the warmth of black pepper and fennel to the distinctive aroma of star anise, kalpasi and marathi moggu, every spice is carefully selected, roasted and blended to create the bold yet beautifully balanced flavours of authentic Chettinad cuisine.

It is this traditional art of combining spices that gives Chettinad food its signature aroma, depth and character.

"It's not just the spices, it's how we roast, grind and blend them."
