Ever get sugar cravings?

The healthier you eat on a regular basis, the less and less you will crave sugar. But that’s not helpful if you’re in the moment and all you want is a hot fudge sundae, right?! Here are three quick tips!

1. Drink some water.
2. Take a “breathing break,” sit down for two minutes and focus on nothing but your breathing and listening to your body.
3. Brush your teeth!

Try each of these three strategies next time you get a craving and you should be able to keep them at bay!

Recover Faster

When you're recovering from a muscle injury, begin exercising again as soon as you can. Try a few minutes at low intensity to test yourself. Go slowly—no explosive movements. If you experience pain, stop immediately. Afterward, ice the area for 20 minutes and exercise again the next day. You should be able to go a little harder and longer each workout.

Finish Faster

To save time, use the same weight for your entire workout. Pick the weight based on your weakest exercise—choose an amount you can lift only six to eight times—and do the moves in a circuit.

Here's a great Dumbbell Complex Circuit:
Choose a weight you can do 10x with for the Bicep Curl to Press exercise and complete:
- Beginner - 4 rounds of the circuit with 10 reps on each exercise (6 reps on Lunges)
- Advanced - 6 rounds of the circuit with 12-14 reps on each exercise (8 reps on Lunges)

1 minute rest in between each round.

Front Lunges
Bicep Curl to Shoulder Press

Work up to 60 minutes of physical activity each day. That doesn't mean you'll be on the weight-room floor seven days a week, but strive to get some kind of activity—even if it's a walk with your dog or a leisurely bike ride. Take advantage of great weather when it happens by taking your workouts outdoors. It’s important to take front, back, (and) side pictures all from the same angle, same lighting, same clothing because the scales lie, pictures do not, and you’ll really be able to see a change that way.
