Another memorable moment shared around the cupping table at The Espresso Lab | Roastery.

This afternoon was a beautiful reminder of what makes coffee so special, as we gathered around the cupping table with our coffee community in the UAE to explore the Faysel Abdosh Signature Auction 2026 Collection alongside Testi Faysel from Testi Specialty Coffee, experiencing these remarkable coffees through the stories, vision and perspective of the producer.

As we moved from cup to cup, the experience became about much more than flavor alone.

Behind every coffee was a story.

Behind every lot was a journey.

We discovered the vision, craftsmanship and dedication that continue to shape some of Ethiopia’s most exciting and expressive coffees.

To everyone who joined us today, we extend our deepest appreciation for your presence.

Thank you for bringing your curiosity, your thoughtful perspectives and your genuine passion for coffee.
We hope this experience offered more than exceptional cups.

We hope it created a deeper connection to origin, to craftsmanship and to the remarkable journey each coffee takes before reaching our tables.

As the auction season continues, our excitement now turns to the Faysel Abdosh Signature Auction 2026.

Over the past few weeks, we have had the privilege of welcoming Faysel Abdosh and Testi Faysel from Testi Specialty Coffee to our roastery in the United Arab Emirates, where we explored this remarkable collection and experienced firsthand the coffees that reflect his relentless pursuit of quality, innovation and excellence.

Sixteen lots.

Sixteen different expressions of Guji.

One extraordinary collection.

What impressed us most was not only the diversity of the coffees, but the intention behind them. Every lot tells a different story, showcasing the possibilities of terroir, processing and craftsmanship through the lens of one of Ethiopia’s most respected coffee producers.

As with every great auction, there are coffees that simply refuse to leave your mind.

A lot we have come to call...

A coffee that stood out from the very first cupping and continues to hold a special place in our thoughts as auction day approaches.

Tonight, at 3:00 AM (Dubai Time), another chapter of our coffee journey begins.

There is something about this year’s Lamastus Family Estates Auction that has stayed with us since our time in Panama.

FIRST LIGHT.

A beautiful tribute to the first rays of sunlight that touch the mountains of Boquete each morning. A quiet moment that every coffee producer knows well. A moment of reflection. A moment of anticipation. A moment when a new day arrives carrying new possibilities.

This vision unfolds through four chapters: First Light, Day Light, Sunset and Night.

Adding to the excitement are two very special nano lots from Luito Estate. These coffees exist in incredibly limited quantities and represent a rare opportunity to experience a new chapter in the Lamastus story.

As always, there are coffees that stay with you long after the cupping table is cleared.

For us, the excitement and anticipation began long ago for this remarkable auction, by .

Earlier this season, we had the privilege of experiencing the Lamastus Family Estates Auction 2026 Collection where it was born, sharing conversations, cupping coffees and witnessing firsthand the dedication behind every lot.

From Elida to El B***o and Luito, each coffee carried its own story, shaped by place, time and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

Back in the UAE, we were honored to be among the first to receive the auction sample collection, allowing us to continue that journey by sharing these remarkable coffees with our community through our public cupping experience.

Thank you to Wilford Lamastus, Wilford Lamastus Jr and the whole Lamastus Family Estates team for the trust, partnership, friendship and the journey we continue to share together.

This year’s collection, FIRST LIGHT | Before The World Wakes, unfolds through 24 extraordinary lots across four chapters: First Light, Day Light, Sunset and Night. More than an auction collection, it is a beautiful expression of terroir, craftsmanship and generations of dedication to producing some of the world’s most celebrated Geishas.

Alhamdulillah, there are some coffee journeys that become more meaningful with time and our journey with Lamastus Family Estates is certainly one of them.

Through the years, what began as admiration for extraordinary coffees grew into a relationship built on friendship, learning and a shared pursuit of excellence. Every visit to the farms, every conversation at the cupping table and every harvest has deepened our appreciation for the people and vision behind this remarkable legacy.

This year, we are honored to invite our coffee community to experience the Lamastus Family Estates Auction 2026 Collection before these coffees enter one of the world’s most anticipated private coffee auction.

Inspired by the first light that touches the highest elevations of Elida Estate each morning, FIRST LIGHT | Before The World Wakes unfolds through four chapters: First Light, Day Light, Sunset and Night.

Each chapter reveals a different expression of terroir, craftsmanship and innovation from the legendary estates of Elida, El B***o and Luito Geisha Estates.

Earlier this season, we had the privilege of tasting these coffees alongside the Lamastus family at origin. What makes this collection so special is not only the rarity of the lots, but the stories, dedication and generations of hard work behind them. Many of these coffees exist in extremely limited quantities and may never be experienced again in the same form.
