On National Youth Day, 21 February 2026 , we had the incredible opportunity to pitch LooMo, our food delivery service, at the Jobs & Entrepreneurship Track 1 of the : Actionable Youth Solutions for Development , organized by Zimbabwe Information and Technology Empowerment in partnership with Mavambo Orphan Care at Sr. Kathleen Barbee Blue Lupin Community Library in Mabvuku . Out of 9 amazing ideas, we finished in 5th place!
A huge shoutout to all the other teams, your creativity and passion were inspiring, and it was an honor to share the stage with you.
The day was full of learning ,pitching, Q&A with judges, and networking with fellow innovators. One exciting milestone: we reached 100 website views in a single day, a record for LooMo so far!
Judges gave us insightful feedback, especially around ensuring food safety, which is guiding us as we refine our operations and policies. Every piece of feedback is a step toward building a stronger, more reliable LooMo.
This experience reminds us that every pitch, every connection, and every milestone counts. We’re more motivated than ever to grow LooMo and bring tasty, reliable food to more people.
