🍕 One Last Slice – A Bittersweet Goodbye 🍕

As we approach the end of an incredible chapter, we want to let everyone know that next weekend (02 May 2025 – 04 May 2025) will be our final weekend of service at our beloved pizza place, The Deck at de Vlugt.

It’s hard to put into words just how much your support has meant to us over the years. We’ve had the privilege of serving up pizzas, laughs, and memories to some of the most amazing people — locals, travelers, and loyal regulars who’ve become like family. Thank you for being part of our journey, for sharing meals, moments and kindness with us. 💛

While the restaurant and gift shop are closing, this isn’t a full goodbye. Our property is being transformed into beautiful accommodation, and we hope you’ll continue to be part of our story by staying with us when you’re looking for a warm, welcoming getaway.

As for the pizza and crafts — they’re not going away completely! 🍕✨ We’ll still be creating both, just from a different location. Pizzas will be available on a made-to-order basis, perfect as a convenient meal option when you're craving that familiar flavour, and our crafts will continue to be shared with love from a new home – Kbuku Pub, which is 15km from de Vlugt (link to the website for exact location can be found below)

Kbuku Mountain Retreat is a place to get away and relax in the mountains of De Vlugt. We offer camping facilities, caravanning space as well as motorbike, quad bike and mountain bike tracks. Kbuku is also home to Kbuku Off-Roaders pub

We often get asked what makes our pizzas worth the adventure off the beaten track.
Well, it’s made with a ton of love, heart, soul and passion! 🍕 ❤️

This quirky and quaint little gem is hidden in the beautiful Valley of De Vlugt.

Boasting the best pizza, most magnificent views and a sense of peace that truly nourishes the soul!
