Shortest Days of the Year - Lamb Shank Special
Tuesday 23 June to Friday 26 June

Hello to all.

To celebrate Mid-Winter, we are offering locals a super-warming Mexican styled lamb shank special.

Made with imported dried Mexican chiles, we use:
Ancho (dried Poblano chilli)
Guajillo (dried Mirasol chilli)
Chipotle ( dried Jalapeño chilli)

They give this dish an awesome base flavour that is just right and not too hot.
But - we can ramp up the heat if you prefer.

Our shanks are braised at high heat in olive oil, Maldon salt and crushed peppercorns, then transferred to a big pot for a five-hour slow cook in the chilli, apple juice and red wine sauce.

The shank is a big portion and comes with our six side vegetable dishes.

Price for our local guests is R250. You may bring one bottle of wine at no corkage per booking.

The fire will be on, and Cheyenne ready to meet you at the door.
