2 years ago we planted Custard Apples bought from Retsini Nursery. We didn't know what kind of fruit was... Let me narrate this short story. We discovered Custard Apple 🍈from Geoff Lawton when he was doing his food forest tour🌲🌳🧑🌾🚶. Then we were convinced that it was delicious😋 then inspired to plant it.
Until we suddenly found it at Retsini Nursery they bought it and planted it🌱 on our Arid climate🏜️🐪,, it is Exotic species to our Climate since it doesn't originate in South African🇿🇦 or African Climate🌍.
Custard apples originated in the tropical regions of the Americas, primarily native to the Caribbean
Historical Spread: European traders—particularly the Spanish and Portuguese—introduced the fruit to Africa and Asia in the early 17th century.
So for it so survive here we strictly prepare 1m square hole then fill with organic matter heavy ones and mix with sharp sand as Geoff Lawton mentioned in one of his Videos on YouTube. Stat tuned cause we'll be giving you a video preparing holes and adding organic matter in a hole for fruit trees. 🌳🌍
