Can anyone name the flower for me??? I don't know the name of it. This plant was planted by my granny due to its thriving colours🌹. She loved the red brightness colours it's produce. I'll love to know the name of it and where does it originate and how can we use it in the Homestead.

2 years ago we planted Custard Apples bought from Retsini Nursery. We didn't know what kind of fruit was... Let me narrate this short story. We discovered Custard Apple 🍈from Geoff Lawton when he was doing his food forest tour🌲🌳🧑‍🌾🚶. Then we were convinced that it was delicious😋 then inspired to plant it.

Until we suddenly found it at Retsini Nursery they bought it and planted it🌱 on our Arid climate🏜️🐪,, it is Exotic species to our Climate since it doesn't originate in South African🇿🇦 or African Climate🌍.

Custard apples originated in the tropical regions of the Americas, primarily native to the Caribbean

Historical Spread: European traders—particularly the Spanish and Portuguese—introduced the fruit to Africa and Asia in the early 17th century.

So for it so survive here we strictly prepare 1m square hole then fill with organic matter heavy ones and mix with sharp sand as Geoff Lawton mentioned in one of his Videos on YouTube. Stat tuned cause we'll be giving you a video preparing holes and adding organic matter in a hole for fruit trees. 🌳🌍

Hello fellow Farmers and Gardeners. This is our lychee tree 🌳that was planted 14 years by seed from a grated fruit tree. It only started blooming 13 years after planting. We planted it in 2012 and it produced flowers last year(2024) then dropped them. I wanna explain about why seed fruits trees don't just produce fruits or takes time.

The difference between seed-planted and grafted lychee trees comes down to fruiting time, fruit quality, and tree size. Grafted trees are highly recommended for home gardens or commercial production, as they produce identical fruit and bear fruit years faster than seedlings.

A quick comparison highlights the main differences:

Today we planted 4 different species of Apples which are( Early Red Apple, Golden delicious, Royal beauty Apples and Granny smith Apple. those are the one's that adopt our Arid climate, that's why you see us harvesting Granny smith Apple from our Homestead. solving World Crises in a larger garden🌴🌳🍎🌍
