☕️ Thank you, Kommetjie and Espresso friends.

What a beautiful way to end the Espresso chapter.

Thank you to every customer who has supported this café over the years. Today was filled with smiles, hugs, wonderful conversations and so much gratitude.

Tomorrow the renovation begins.

For the next few weeks our kitchen will be closed, but our coffee will still be served from our Tuk Tuk outside, so your daily coffee isn’t going anywhere.

When we reopen, Espresso will begin a new chapter under a new name…

Localino.

We’ll be sharing little glimpses of the journey over the coming weeks as we transform the space, and if all goes to plan, we’re aiming to welcome you back in the first week of August.

You all know Chef Wayne’s special Sunday roast.

What better way to prepare for our little break and renovation than with one more comforting Sunday lunch together?

Join us this Sunday for roast beef served with roast potatoes, rice and seasonal vegetables.

Available from 12:00 until sold out.

Please phone us by Saturday if you’re coming, so we can prepare enough for everyone.

Buongiorno ☀️ Kommetjie! ☕️❤️

It's been so special to see so many familiar faces coming in over the past few weeks. Thank you for all the support, the chats, and for making Espresso what it has been over the years.

We still have a few more days together, and until this Sunday we'll continue serving you the great coffee you've come to know and love. If you've been meaning to pop in, now is the perfect time.

From Monday, the restaurant will close for renovations. Behind the scenes, a new identity will slowly begin to take shape. It's still a little shy... but we're incredibly excited to share it with you when the time is right.

The good news 🥳🥳🥳❤️❤️❤️is that during the renovation, we'll be setting up a small outdoor coffee station so you can still grab your morning coffee and a few sweet treats while the transformation is underway.

We'll share more updates soon. For now, come and enjoy Espresso with us one last time before this exciting new chapter begins.

Hi Everyone!!
Luca here from Espresso Kom!!
I’m sure and hope we will have plenty of occasions to meet in person and share coffee pastas and stories together 🙏🏻

After many wonderful years serving the Kommetjie community, Espresso Kom will be closing its doors on 5 July for a short period as we prepare for an exciting new chapter.

First, we want to honour everyone who made Espresso what it is today—the guests that have been so welcoming to us, the different owners, the teams, the locals, and all those who shared coffees, conversations, and memories within these walls. If you have a favourite photo, story, or memory of Espresso, we’d love for you to share it with us.
. This space will continue to grow—with a little more ITALIAN spirit 🍅🍸, and plenty more smiles.

You could say an Italian “Localino”is coming to town. 🇮🇹☕🍝

We’re excited to create a space that feels even more welcoming, vibrant, and special for the Kommetjie community.
