What's the difference?
We get this a lot. And that's fair. They are both sourdough loaves, however one is slightly cheaper?
Our Artisan loaf is cooked on an open tray. It puffs up while baking, creating that beautiful, rounded, classic sourdough shape. Its airy and "holey" on the inside, and we also score in a pretty design.
Our Loaf Style is cooked in a tin. While its cooking, it is limited to where it can go, so will take the shape of the tin. These tend to "puff" out into to the length of the tin instead of up, creating a slightly more dense loaf. It also fits perfectly in your toaster because of the winner shape. The big difference here is that we can fit more of these tins in our oven at once - meaning a lot less labour.
Both loaves are equally as delicious, and it comes down to personal preference. We do both styles in our weekly pre-orders, and most markets and events you will find both available.
And, we do offer slicing for your loaves! Just let us know when you place your order.
