We cannot wait for the market this Saturday💕
These past few weeks have been sort of slow (probably because of the heat😬) , so we decided to cut down our schedule a lot:) We will be focusing on getting more matcha, coming up with new flavors, and advertising our mochi donuts more!😊
Moving forward, I want to be more transparent with y’all regarding our matcha supply. In the past, we have partnered with 2 small matcha farms in Kyoto. Our primary supplier has completely run out of matcha. We have been trying to try new matcha blends at the other (even smaller) farm, but samples are taking over a month to come in (due to production time). Although the first harvest of matcha has barely gone by, we are still having a hard time getting matcha. Prices have also gone up dramatically (a $20 tin I bought last year is now $100). With limited funds, we are trying our best to get our matcha to you without lowering the quality of our matcha drinks. We use 4 grams of matcha per drink, and with new prices, a matcha shot alone costs $4. We refuse to pay these prices for matcha, and we refuse to charge so much for a drink. Therefore, we must to take breaks to get affordable, high quality matcha to Pensacola.
We may consider selling our own custom matcha blend in small batches in order to get more of our matcha out to y’all! In this case, we will still be able to sell our own drinks if we do less events. If it ever comes to a point where we cannot do as much events, we will definitely consider selling our housemade syrups as well!! All of our ideas are still just being planned out, so feel free to give us suggestions for the future!!
