Happy new year!🎊 Thanks to everyone who supported us in 2025. We will be open again tomorrow (2nd Jan) as normal.

It’s with a heavy heart we say goodbye to our neighbour and mate, Hari. For almost 20 years the Dili Club sat right next door to his, and if you knew Hari, you knew you were in for a smile, a laugh, and probably a plate of the best Indian food in Dili.

He had a way of making everyone feel welcome — and he never took anything too seriously. He sure as hell knew how to make you wait for a takeaway order though! Over a drink or two a few of us regulars came up with the now slightly Dili-famous chicken roll. Hari did the cooking, we just held the beers and threw out the idea but took all the credit! Hard to believe the one I had the other day will be the last! “For the past 10 years, every time my kids came back to Dili he had their stash of paratha breads ready — they couldn’t get enough of them. One Christmas, when he was heading off on holiday, he even handed me a freezer supply to keep them going, Classic Hari. He loved that they loved them so much and just aimed to please.

Hari — thanks for the memories, Rest easy, old friend.

We will be closed on the 24th and 25th Dec.
Open 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th.
Closed 31st and 1st. Open as normal from 2nd January.
