Happy New Year and Welcome to everyone who has joined in on this adventure! My name is Alexa and I am the owner of The Upper Room Cafe, where we aim to love our neighbor one cup of coffee at a time.

A quick backstory on the name and mission of this business: I am a Christian and it has been my dream for years to open up a coffee shop geared towards loving the El Paso community, preaching the Gospel, and sharing the truth and power of Jesus. In my family, drinking a cup of coffee has always been a really nice treat, a way of catching up while sitting around a table and enjoying each other’s company and telling stories. In the Bible, the “Upper Room” has significance in so many ways. It was the place where Jesus shared the last supper with His disciples and it was also the place where Jesus taught them, where future believers would gather to recount stories about Jesus, enjoy fellowship with one another and be built up and encouraged on their journey of faith. My prayer is that all would feel welcomed seen, and loved here at The Upper Room just like believers in the past did.
