Hidden Folk Fibers Hidden Folk Fibers is the work of Friedenhof kindred of Grinnell, Iowa, specializing in needle felted trolls, gnomes, fairies, and other land spirits.

Hidden Folk Fibers is the work of Skadi Snook and Kristen Horton of Friedenhof kindred of Grinnell, IA and Lincoln, NE, specializing in needle felted trolls, gnomes, fairies, and other land spirits. In 2012, Skadi and Kristen started "Hidden Folk Fibers" in Oxford, Mississippi as a means of sharing and selling their felted creatures. For them, needle felting is a an expression of their connection to the land spirits, and a way of honoring them through time-consuming and meditative art. HFF processes their raw materials by hand. Raw fleece is hand washed, carded, and dyed with food grade dyes. All accessories or adornments are out of natural fibers, twines, natural gemstones, wood, pine cones, and acorns. This page is meant to showcase their work and keep people up to date on our creations' availabilities. New work will be posted as it becomes available!
