🇰🇪 NEW ARRIVAL: KENYA – MEET KAMAVINDI
We believe that quality coffees come from quality relationships. That's why we're so excited to introduce Kamavindi Coffee, our new exporting partner from Embu, Kenya.
Kamavindi is a family‑run operation established in 1958. What started as 100 trees, is now over 10,000, growing SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru 11. They built their own private washing station in 1994 to protect quality. But it was in 2018, that they founded the Kamavindi Coffee Lab – a training center and cupping lab dedicated to helping neighboring farmers access specialty markets.
We worked closely with Peter and Chilumo throughout the harvest to help us source traditionally and intentionally unconventional. Traditionally? Stunning Estate Lots. Intentionally Unconventional? A carefully constructed communal lot called Kamathura, whereby each lot was cupped individually to build out a final lot that really showcases the work Kamavindi is doing with the growers in their network.
All coffees have landed and are moving fast.
