Trysh and I have now ended our tenancy and departed from the Star Inn. We do so with a heavy heart after enjoying a wonderful 5 years doing what we love to do in a lovely pub at the heart of a lovely village. Despite encouragement from Punch and the customers we felt it would be unwise to continue after my recent illness. We would like to thank all our staff for their total support and commitment to the pub and customers. We have now relocated to Penzance but would hope to catch up with you soon. Thank you to everyone for your support and your amazing leaving gift. We are currently scouring the internet for dry weather to start our holiday in the Scillies. Cheers Mick and Trysh.

It is with huge sadness that we have to inform you that we shall be retiring again and leaving the Star Inn on Wednesday 17th April. Trysh and I would like to thank you all who made our return to pub life in Cornwall for our “Swan Song” so enjoyable. I would also like to thank everyone for their kind wishes, cards and support during my recent illness and stay in hospital. It has been a privilege and great fun to serve you for the past five years. I am sure the pub will change somewhat but hope it will retain it’s character and great community spirit.

Over the years we have collected a large amount of
bric-a-brac which will not fit into our new home and is not required in the transfer. If you would like to retain a bit of the Star or are setting up a Man Cave or Home Bar
we are holding a “table top” sale at the pub on Saturday 13th April from 12 noon. The bar will be open and food available. Funds raised from this sale will be shared between the various village associations and charities. Goods will remain on sale over the weekend.

Once again, Sincere thanks to you all. It’s been good to know you. Mick and Trysh.
