Today marks the 50th anniversary of my working career. I started my very first job on July 3, 1976. It was the year of the United States Bicentennial, and I got the job because the person who had been scheduled to work wanted the holiday off. So, on July 3, I stepped in and began what has turned into a 50-year journey in the workforce.

Looking back, it’s amazing to realize that it all started with that opportunity. Fifty years later, I’m grateful for the experiences, the people I’ve met, and the chance to have spent a lifetime working and serving others.

These are cinnamon blueberry cobbler rolls. They’re gonna go into the dough retarder for overnight and they’ll be baked fresh tomorrow morning.
