It’s masti time!
For us working professionals, we often find ourselves reminiscing about those carefree college and school days, where our biggest worry was finding a cool hangout spot. This usually turned out to be a friend’s place. Now, don’t get us wrong. We’re not saying that we ever had a problem with hanging out at a friend’s place, but if we were to be honest, we all felt a little guilty about infringing in our friend’s personal space. And cafés were out of the question because they kept making you buy stuff to eat or drink, making it more expensive to spend time there.
The reason we bring this up is because when it comes to hanging out and having fun, we haven’t really changed much. We’re still looking for places where we can sit for hours together reliving old memories and spending time playing our favourite childhood indoor games. Luckily for us, there’s a place that gives us the opportunity to bring out all your inner masti — Café Masti!

Nestled in Jayanagar, Café Masti is an ideal hangout spot for everyone, be they college students or working professionals. “The word masti is easy to catch on to, and it’s one of the few words that denote the fun and frolic that becomes a part of every hangout session,” says Saleem, one of the partners of Café Masti. Engineering graduates turned entrepreneurs, Café Masti was a long-time dream that the trio realized recently.
“We always wanted to have a space where people can hang out and be at ease,” he says. True to their word, they offer a whole array of indoor games that you can choose from, while serving up plate after plate of mouth-watering Chinese and North Indian dishes (indeed, their Dragon Chicken is to die for) and (for those who want it) a platter of ho**ah types and flavours!

What completely sets the café apart from its contemporaries is its interiors. “Our entire décor is made of waste,” says Saleem. “But not waste as you would think it. Think packaging materials and old, rustic furniture. We’ve painted it all ourselves, and are proud to say it looks cool,” Saleem laughs. And the best part about them? They aren’t time bound! So you can choose to spend an hour to an entire evening within their walls and never get bored!
