Moms without a village â€ïž
Moms, we don't talk about this enough.
Letâs stop pretending every mom has a backup plan. Some of us are the backup plan.
Thereâs no grandparent on standby.
No one to randomly watch the kids so you can breathe for a second.
No âdrop them off and go rest.â
If something needs to get done, youâre the one doing it.
Youâre the one working while figuring out appointments.
Youâre the one tired but still making sure the kids are okay.
Youâre the one handling the little things no one else even notices.
Sometimes, the other parent helps, but itâs not enough. Youâre still the one carrying the weight.
Sometimes you see other moms with help and think,
âwow⊠that must be nice.â
Not in a jealous way.
Just in a âthat would make life a little easierâ kind of way.
But when you donât have a village, you learn how to build a life anyway.
You get creative.
You get stronger than you expected.
And your kids grow up knowing one thing for sure:
Their mom showed up for them every single time.
Even when she had to do it all by herself.
Moms who are their own village are, without a doubt, the strongest people I know.
