Scott, Cristin and I have recently found our new food crush and it's boba teas, Vietnamese coffees and teas and Vietnamese food.
On our way to play disc golf today Scott had a craving for a Boba tea. Did a quick little Google search and found this new place called BAMBU in Pinellas Park.
This location has only been open since December 1st 2021.
Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted quickly. After looking over the menu for a minute we had a couple questions since we have only recently discovered this type of food. Megan was more than happy to answer any questions we had.
Megan helped us pick out a great tasting Mango boba tea with some jellie bobas.
We decided to stop back by after our disc golf game was over for lunch.
We were greeted my Megan and introduced to her mom "Long Vy Huynh"
Bambu is a franchise that serves distinctive Asian-inspired Chè, unique boba teas, Vietnamese coffees, exotic fruit smoothies and juices.
All the authentic Vietnamese food is made from the mothers recipes so we couldn't wait to try some.
We first tired the Baked Pork Roll (Scott did, I don't eat meat)
Very delicious, the pork was cooked perfectly, fresh veggies and the homemade dipping sauce was so good I thought Scott was going to drink it.
Next was the open face buns. Fluffy little buns filled with tofu (or your protein choice) and Asian coleslaw. Outstanding!! Buns steamed perfectly, so much flavor.
Scott said it was the best tofu he's ever had.
I also ordered a Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich with tofu. Bread was a prefect combo of lightly crunchy outside and soft insides filled with tofu and veggies. Everything
complementing each other. Wish I had ordered 2 because Cristin ate most of my sandwich when I got home. Scott got the same sandwich but with pork and loved it. also.
We shared and order of Vermicelli noodle bowl with tofu. Noodles were cooked just right, veggies and sauce just made the dish. (peanuts on the side)
Last but not least we ordered a couple Vietnamese ice coffees - OH MY GOSH!!
These were the best we have had anywhere. So creamy and strong!
Megan and her mother were so friendly and inviting, the restaurant was very clean,
restrooms very clean and well stocked.
Please go try this place out, you won't regret it.
We will definitely be coming back here again!
