Can’t believe it’s been a year since the last one!

Come and join our free Wizarding weekend event!
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 11-4pm .
Around 30 stalls selling unique items including ; Candles , jewellery , Crocheted HP characters , Themed cakes ,home decor, herbal hair treatments and braids , books , Curry pastes , Mandrakes, herbal potions , Crystals and lots more . Stallholders will be in character costumes and the building will be dressed with props and lighting . On the Sunday we will have The Wise Bird owl sanctuary with opportunities for photos with these beautiful creatures . We will also have a Tombola on both days with the proceeds going to the sanctuary . There will be food and drinks served throughout the day including Butterbeer .
This is a lovely community event suitable for all the family . We would love to see you all there 🧙🏻‍♀️✨🌱🧹🧪🧜🏻‍♀️🐉

A Saturday baking is a Saturday well spent!

I made cinnamon rolls once before, years ago now, decided they were AMAZING and then for some reason never made them again 🤷‍♀️
I think it’s probably because you need a few hours to spare for all the proving time, which I rarely have. Also, I really love a cinnamon swirl loaf which you can slice and toast 🤤

As you can see, I went for the “randomly splattered” approach to icing.

A brownie cake for my baby who turned 13 last week!

Three layers of chocolate chip brownie sponge, filled with whipped cream and covered in whipped dark chocolate ganache. Topped with a milk chocolate drip and his favourite chocolate bars 🤩

I’ve been wanting to make this recipe for so long and it was delicious but if I’m honest I think it would work better with my usual chocolate cake recipe. I guess I’ll just have to make another cake then 🤷‍♀️ Shame!

The last days of summer ☀️🌞🕶️

I always feel a range of emotions when the holidays end; happy about the memories we’ve made, sad that it’s all over, guilt that we’ve not done enough fun things, relief that some normality is returning and worry about what the term will bring.

Back to school tomorrow. I’ll be having a well deserved coffee in peace!

Had a lovely morning at Lyme Park.
Another day of getting up early to fit in a day out before everywhere gets busy. The McDonald’s breakfast made it worthwhile though 😂
