Happy Birthday to my Momma Bear. 🖤

If it wasn't for Mom, I honestly don't know where I'd be, both in life and in this crazy little cheesecake adventure.

She's the one who always answers when I call with a recipe question, even when I'm probably asking something I've asked 47 times before. She's the one who talks me down when I'm overwhelmed, reminds me to breathe, and somehow always knows exactly what to say to make me believe that everything is going to be just fine.

She's my biggest cheerleader, my sounding board, my creative inspiration, and the person I can tell absolutely everything to.

She's helped me build this business in more ways than she probably even realizes. From the behind-the-scenes stuff to the moments when I just need my Momma, she's always there.

She's my glue, my role model, my warrior, and one of the biggest reasons I keep going when things get a little chaotic around here.

Happy Birthday to the best Momma I could ever ask for. I love you more than words can say.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Chara 💔
Over these past almost 6 years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Chara personally, not only watching her dream of opening a commissary kitchen come to fruition, but getting the opportunity to work alongside her daily and grow into a wonderful friendship and partnership in business.

We have cheered each other on during the bad days, bounced ideas and opinions off of each other constantly, had dinners together, and most of all, laughed together often.

While the kitchen she worked so hard to build will never be the same without her brightness and conversation... We'll continue to work hard and grow there in her honor.

You'll never be forgotten, Chara.

Inspired by an old fashioned I tried over the weekend & combining it with one of my fall favorites...

This week's specialty cheesecake for Da Baffone Cucina Italiana is Spiced Chai Banana Bread

With a double layer crust of Walnut Banana bread & oatmeal cookie crumbs. Then we brought back our Spiced Chai infused cheesecake & topped with a thin layer of buttercream, more oatmeal cookie crumbs & crunchy salted caramel banana chips
