You're the chocolate to my peanut butter 🍫🥜

This indulgent beauty has a chocolate cookie crust with a Dutch pressed dark cocoa & peanut butter infused cheesecake. Of course we couldn't stop there and smothered it in rich silky smooth dark chocolate ganache.

We're excited to announce that we're now served by the slice up at Da Baffone Cucina Italiana in Crystal Lake 😍👏🏼

My Italian side is screaming "we did it!"

To start, we delivered a luscious dark chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. With a chocolate cookie crust layered with chopped hazelnut as the base for our Dutch pressed dark cocoa cheesecake. Then to top it all off we made a sinful dark chocolate ganache & swirled it with Nutella creme.. then added hazelnut chocolates & a touch of gold.

""Part 4: Creativity Under Pressure

There’s nothing like a ticking clock, an empty pantry, or, you know, a global pandemic to force some creativity out of you real fast. For me, Covid wasn’t just the end of something, it was the start. But it didn’t happen overnight. With everything shut down and “normal life” on pause, I suddenly had the time (and let’s be honest, the restless energy) to finally give cheesecake a real shot. If Dad thinks I should’ve given it a try, why not, right? No farmers markets, no events, no parties. Just me, my mixer, and a kitchen that looked like a powdered sugar bomb went off.

Here’s the thing: starting in that kind of chaos meant I had to get scrappy from day one. And weirdly enough, I thrived on it. There’s something oddly motivating about knowing you’ve got 12 hours to figure something out, or risk serving a cheesecake that looks like it survived a WWE match.

Pressure has a funny way of pushing you into brilliance. Constraints are secretly a gift. They force you to stop whining about what you can’t do and start asking: “Okay, fine...what can I do with this mess?”

For me, that meant rolling out a simple social media post in May 2020 with four flavors and sampler boxes so families stuck at home could “taste test” together. By Mother’s Day, I had made over 200 cheesecakes and only slept about 7 hours the entire week. (Caffeine and stubbornness kept me alive. Barely.) After that, I kept experimenting. New flavors, new twists, because honestly the world needed a little joy, and cheesecake was the best I could offer.""
