Roots Coffee House

This is Charlie- he a 2 year old bichon/poodle who loves naps and belly rubs. He loves farm life where he has many kitty and chicken friends and loves herding the goats when they get out of the fence.
This week Charlie came to town to check on the progress at the coffee shop. He is especially excited about the backyard space where he can relax and enjoy a pup cup next spring.
What are you hoping to see in this backyard space??

Happy Labor Day!

As you may know, back in March we acquired the future home of Roots Coffee House. A cute little building with huge potential. While we knew we would need to give this building a major update, we didn’t know until we started digging into it exactly what we were getting into. Turns out, this 1880s building needed more love than we originally expected.

But part of us buying this building was merely wanting to fix and utilize something that’s been in this community since before any of us. So, the effort we are putting in now seems worth the outcome.

Our hope for small-town communities, like ours, is to grow and thrive, and we are putting the blood, sweat, and tears into this place—literally—to help make that happen.

So while this update isn’t exactly exciting, it is very important because we want you to know Roots is still here, and we are still working very hard. Right now, it’s on the big, important things, like the long-overdue leveling of the building and replacing some 140-year-old lumber.

We are so looking forward to serving coffee again to our friends and neighbors.

Thank you for your continued support.

More updates coming soon! ☕️

Come find us at Conklin’s Hill on September 19.
This fun event is quickly becoming one of our favorite fall activities . 🍁🍂🎃
We feel so fortunate to be starting a small business in Winthrop. There are so many people who want to make positive changes for the future of our small town and we can’t wait to be a part of it.

The Fall Festival is quickly approaching, and we could use your help spreading the word!

If you’re excited about this year’s festival, please take a moment to share our event flyer with your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Every share helps us reach new families, support our vendors, and make this community event even more successful.

Thank you for helping us showcase everything that makes Winthrop such a special place. We truly appreciate your support and can’t wait to see everyone at Conklin Hill on Saturday, September 19! ❤️🌽🍁
