A Gem for Filipino food in Fort Lauderdale! 🤤

I had one night in Fort Lauderdale before the cruise and, after the 2.5-hr flight delay, I was starving when I landed. Luckily, a search of restaurants near my hotel showed quite a bit of Filipino restaurants surprisingly!

I visited Isla Pilipinas Cafe, and it reminded me of dining in Manila, complete with the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. 🇵🇭

Silog is typically a breakfast dish but they serve it all day. And I saw they had Lechon Kawalisilog which is not a silog you'd commonly find since you wouldn't normally eat lechon kawali for breakfast lol

I initially wanted crispy sisig but a whole plate of it would be too much to eat for one person so I chose this instead. And it definitely hit the spot! 👌

If you're staying near Fort Lauderdale airport / cruise port and want to try Filipino food, this is the spot! 🙌
