These pepper plants that we grow on our property are our Black Cobra Peppers and our Sweet Red Drops. The Black Cobras we utilize are for our Mad Mothman sauce. The Sweet Red Drops are for our Hobbits Blood. As you can see, very different characteristics and taste. The Black Cobras grow straight up and go through 3 different color phases. They start green, we pick them at black, but when left, they turn red. We do leave a couple red ones for seeds for next year. The Red Sweet Drops go through 2 color phases and we pick them at red. These Sweet Red Drop peppers taste like you are about to eat a very spicy Habanero and then zero spice afterwards. They are perfect for people who love hot sauce but hate heat which is why they are the secret sauce to our sauce. Both peppers we cannot locally source fresh, so we choose to grow them.
