Coming across the mountain this morning, I looked up and there it was… a rainbow stretched across these beautiful Eastern Kentucky mountains. 🌈⛰️

Of all days to see it, today felt different.

September 11th is a day our country will never forget. A day that changed so many lives, broke so many hearts, and showed us the courage of ordinary people who became heroes. 🇺🇸

As I looked at that rainbow, I couldn’t help but think about God’s promises. Even after the storm, there is still light. Even in the darkest valleys, He is still there. And even when we don’t understand the road ahead, we can still trust the One who does.

Maybe that’s why today felt like the right day to set up at neon days even with rain in the forecast.

Because around these mountains, we know a thing or two about storms. We’ve learned to keep climbing, keep believing, and keep going.

So today, we’ll fire up the smoker, pull into the rain, and do what we love — thankful for another day, thankful for these mountains we call home, and thankful for the freedom that so many sacrificed everything to protect. ❤️🇺🇸

And that rainbow over the mountains?

I’m choosing to take it as a little reminder from God:

The storm doesn’t last forever.
Keep the faith.
Keep going.
There’s always light after the rain. 🌈🙏🏻

From our family to yours — God bless you, God bless these Appalachian mountains, and God bless America. 🇺🇸

Never forget. September 11, 2001. ❤️
