Getting in gear!
Went to the annual food show in Ocean City earlier this month! Always great to see what's new in food and beverage, chat with suppliers and generally see what's going on. Found a couple of interesting items which might get incorporated into the menu this year. More importantly, the OC Expo signals in the mind that the season is coming up and it's time to get serious -- soooo, got the first smoke of the year in, 60lbs of pork and we are getting set!

Happy Monday! 54deg today, they tell us summer is coming!
Two upcoming events, both in May to talk about today.
May 10th, we will be the food vendor for the Chesapeake Region, Antique Automobile Association of America show at the Fire Museum of Maryland! With a couple of acres display area and over 30 trophies to be awarded come admire the best of American motor craftsmanship. Plus! The Fire Museum of Maryland is open to tour their collection of fire vehicles and equipment going back 100 years!

May 17th we are back at the Big Truck Farm Brewery for the big Chesapeake Jeep Show "Potbellies and Pints". Open to all types of 4X4's as well. Sponsored by the Whispering Rise Farm Animal Sanctuary, you also get to meet some of the amazing potbellied pigs from the farm. Bring the kids out for this one!

Well it is still cold out, but the calendar is warming up!
The season kicks off with the All About Maryland event at the Fairgrounds (4H Building) on March 29th! This is a new event for us, and it sounds like a lot of fun. The Car Cruise series at Harford Vineyard starts off on Saturday, April 26th with the Mopar club. Then we really get into it the next week with Towson Gardens Day May 1st followed up by the Towsontowne Spring Festival Saturday and Sunday May 3rd and 4th!
Lots new this year with dates at the Big Truck Farm Brewery, the Reisterstown Beer Festival and back at the Carroll County Celtic Festival and the Perry Hall Town Fair, but more on those and others later.

Bookings for great BBQ service at events continue to come in. Wish I could confirm a couple of large concerts, but without "ink on the page" or I suppose now "Email in the Inbox" I don't want to.

One thing I do want to say though is: We Are Looking For People. If you are easy and fun to work with and looking for some extra cash drop a note to [email protected]. Most events are weekends, some weekdays. and not too far away. Come play with us!

Seems the past couple of weeks have been the time to book car shows!
We will be doing the food for the MD Chevelle Club's annual 2-day show June 28-29 in North East, MD; most of the 4th Saturday Harford Mustang Club's Cruise-In's at Harford Vineyard 4-8pm; the annual Bel Forest show in Bel Air 9-2pm, and Manheim Baltimore-Washington's annual Show on July 28th in Elkridge.
We will also be back at Manheim in Elkridge on 1st Tuesdays for their auto auction.

*Sigh*
Off season is so sad - but thoughts of warm weather, smoking meat nad happy crowds keep one going! Letting the smoker get some rest under a blanket of snow.
Bookings look good for 2024, a couple of new events and lots of returning festivals. We are back at the Carroll County Celtic Festival, the East Coast Military Vehicle Rally and The Town Fair in Perry Hall to name a few.

Just got the word today that the Friday night "Feet on the Street" concerts in Towson will begin on May 7th! The social details are still being worked out but we will be there with beef, turkey and pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, salads and sodas. Check it out here:

Hey it looks like things are loosening up a bit!! Nothing soon, however we are booked for 3 dates in April, May and June for the Custom and Classic Car Education Foundation car cruises at Harford Vineyard, as well as the Perry Hall Town Fair on June 26th. As soon as we can figure out how to create a calendar, we will get upcoming dates on it.

Had a great time sampling our pulled pork BBQ with side salads this past Saturday at the Baltimore County Library "Taste of the Town" event!
This week it's Towson Gardens Day on Thursday, then the Towsontown Spring Festival this weekend. Pray for good weather!
