Thank You, West Monroe!

After many cries over the decision, we want to share that we have officially sold our business, The Dawg House Coney Island, located at 302 Smith St., West Monroe, LA. This was not an easy decision, because this place has been so much more than a business to us — it has been a family spot, a gathering spot, and a place filled with memories we will always treasure.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us, encouraging us, and allowing us to serve this amazing community. We will truly miss seeing your faces, sharing laughs, and being part of your daily routines. The friendships and relationships we built here will always mean the world to us.
We are excited to pass the torch to the new owners, who are amazing people and truly care about continuing the tradition of great food and friendly service. We know they are going to do a fantastic job and would love for you to continue supporting them just as you have supported us.
The restaurant is now owned by Eddie Underwood and family. The little blue building on Smith Street is now Big E’s Burgers (formerly The Dawg House Coney Island), and they have some new and exciting menu items we think you’re really going to enjoy. Please stop by, say hello, and check them out — they are looking forward to serving all of our loyal customers and becoming a part of your routines just like we were.

Hello! Hello! Hello! I hope you all have gotten your lights back on and are snuggled up and resting. I pray everyone recovers from this crazy storm and we don’t see anything like this ever again. We at the Dawg House have missed you all and can’t wait to see you this week. While we only lost power at the restaurant for approximately 24 hours, our home lives were a mess and we just got power back around 5:30 pm today. We will be open Monday at 10am; however, the internet and telephone are still not working, the register doesn’t work, nor does our credit card machine. We hope it gets restored tomorrow. Like we always say, Cash is King, so don’t forget to bring cash. Can’t wait to see your smiling faces tomorrow.

Winter Storm Closure Notice. Due to the severe winter storm's impact, The Dawg House Coney Island will be closed from January 26 through January 30, 2026. Our primary focus remains the safety and well-being of both our employees and customers. Many in our community, including our team members, are dealing with the aftermath of power outages, dangerous road conditions from fallen trees and lines, and health issues related to the cold. We are evaluating the situation with hopes that all are safe and recovering well. Operations are anticipated to resume on Monday, February 2nd. Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you and your family safety and warmth.

Closure Notice Due to Winter Storm: The Dawg House Coney Island will be closed from Monday, January 26 through Friday, January 30, 2026, following the severe impact of the winter storm. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers remains our top priority. Like many in our community, our team is dealing with power outages, hazardous road conditions resulting from fallen trees and power lines, and some team members are experiencing cold-related health issues. We will assess everyone's situation and hope that all are faring well after the weekend. We anticipate resuming operations by Monday, February 2nd. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and warm during the aftermath of storm Fern. Our thoughts are with you.
