Something I noticed about Cape Town, South Africa...

People often talk about the European influence in Cape Town, but what stood out to me was how many people I met from other African countries living and working in the city.

During my trip, several of my drivers were originally from different parts of Africa. Every ride turned into a conversation about where they came from, why they moved to Cape Town, and their experiences living there.

Moments like that are one of my favorite parts of traveling.

Talking to locals and hearing their stories completely changes how you experience a place.

If you’re planning a trip to Cape Town, South Africa, take the time to talk to the people around you. The city is full of stories.

Cape Town is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited, and this trip made me even more excited to explore more countries across Africa.

Now I need help deciding:

Which African country should I visit next, a country in East Africa or West Africa?

And the reason shocked me… the owner doesn’t even have a key to her own storefront salon!! She has to depend on the building owner to open and close her salon daily. She said that he does not trust anyone with a key so she just has to pay rent and deal with it 🤯.

This is one of the realities of Cape Town that they don't tell you about.
