Since 1974, Grupo Lezama has operated in Spain, beginning in Madrid, followed by other establishments of the group in Marbella, Seville and Basque Country, as well as a prestigious culinary school in Seville. An evening of exceptional winemaking heritage comes to 1776 I St NW on Wednesday, September 30th at 6:30 PM. 🍷✨
For our monthly Wine Dinner, La Taberna del Alabardero is proud to host Bodegas Matarromera—a historic estate from one of Ribera del Duero’s most privileged terroirs, renowned for producing reds of extraordinary elegance and white wines overflowing with character.
Join guest speaker Regina Ardura (US Export Manager, Matarromera) alongside Estebe Salgado (CEO of Tradewinds Specialty Imports) for an intimate tasting journey. Sommelier Álvaro Correas has paired iconic vintages with a custom multi-course menu featuring slow-braised pork cheeks, grilled skirt steak with truffle, glazed sweetbreads, and tuna crudo.

We are officially celebrating Paella Fest from now until August 2nd! Beyond our normal menu, our chefs have crafted a spectacular lineup of unique, limited-time paellas and specialty rice dishes that you won’t find any other time of the year.
