There is something so special about watching a child bring an idea to life. 🩵🎂

This week at Cake Camp, our campers mixed their own fondant colors, created handmade decorations, airbrushed their cakes, and turned their own designs into something they couldn’t wait to show off.

The smiles at the end say it all.

Yes, they learned cake decorating skills. But they also practiced creativity, patience, problem-solving, and the confidence that comes from saying, “I made this myself.”

Those moments of pride are what Cake Camp is really about, and we feel so lucky to be a small part of helping these young bakers discover what they can do.

No one tells you that baking can change the way a child sees themselves. 🥹🩵

Today these kids measured ingredients, cracked eggs, mixed their own cupcake and cake batter, made sugar cookie dough, rolled it out, and cut every cookie themselves.

At the beginning of the day, they were just excited to bake.

By the end, they were proudly saying, “I made this.”

That moment—that confidence, that joy, that spark of independence—is why we love Cake Camp so much. The cupcakes and cookies are delicious, but watching kids believe in themselves is the sweetest part. 🩵

Today reminded me why we love hosting cake camp. 🩵

There were giggles over cake batter-covered spatulas, new friends being made, and one moment I’ll never forget…

The recipe called for 6 cups of sugar. Five were already in the mixer, and one camper got the “special job” of carrying the last cup. Instead of keeping the moment to themselves, they looked around and said, “Let’s all carry it together.”

Every little hand helped pour that last cup into the mixer.

In a world that celebrates being first, these kids chose to include everyone.

Yes, they’re learning to bake. But they’re also learning kindness, teamwork, and the joy of celebrating each other.

Those are the moments that stay with you long after the cake is gone. 🥹🩵

There’s something so special about watching a child discover what they’re capable of. 🩵

From mixing their own icing to creating every swirl, flower, and fondant decoration, these cakes weren’t just decorated—they were imagined, designed, and brought to life by little hands full of creativity.

And our favorite moment? Seeing their faces light up as they ran to their parents at pickup saying, “Look what I made!” 🥹

Those proud smiles are what Cake Camp is really about.

Some of the best summer memories aren’t made on expensive vacations—they’re made with flour on little noses, frosting-covered fingers, and big proud smiles. 🩵

Watching these kids make their own buttercream, decorate cupcakes, and create cookies from scratch reminds us that they’re learning so much more than baking. They’re building confidence, creativity, patience, and memories they’ll carry with them long after summer ends.

But right now, they’re still in that sweet stage where they can’t wait to crack the eggs, stir the batter, roll out cookie dough, and proudly say, “I made this!” 🥹🩵
