He came in with a few minutes to spare. Then this happened. 😂

The hubster stopped by The Green Coterie today and decided to give the SoundBed a try.

Now, mind you, he told me he only had a few minutes.

A little while later, I hear, “Trena! Trena! Where's the button?!”

I'm thinking he needs something.

Nope! This man wanted me to come back and start ANOTHER session. A LONGER one! 🤣🤣

Apparently, those few minutes weren't so few after all! I'm fixin' to kick his freeloading self out of here! LOL!!!

And that's what I love about introducing people to the SoundBed. You can explain the combination of sound and gentle, rhythmic vibrations all day long, but there's something about experiencing it for yourself.

Remember when we were kids and our parents would have us perform for company? 😂

Sing a song, recite a poem, dance, or show off whatever little talent they were convinced we had? Whether we wanted to or not! LOL!

Well, that's kind of the feeling I'm going for with Voices from the Living Room—except we're grown now, nobody's mama is making anybody perform, and you get to decide whether you want to share or just sit back and enjoy! 😂

I want it to feel like an evening gathered in someone's living room, surrounded by folks who feel like family. A little poetry, some singing, storytelling, spoken word, maybe some laughter and a few unexpected surprises.

No need to be a professional performer. No competition. No pressure to be perfect. Just everyday people sharing a little piece of themselves with other everyday people.

And if you'd rather just come, sit, listen, laugh, and applaud, we need you in the living room, too!

We're bringing Voices from the Living Room back on November 21st at The Green Coterie in Waldorf.

It's free to share your voice, and just $20 to be part of the audience.

💚 A Little Planning Daydreams Nostalgia

Before The Green Coterie, there was Planning Daydreams...

I took a little stroll down memory lane tonight and found myself looking through some of the things I created years ago under my former business, Planning Daydreams.

I rarely made traditional gift baskets. Why use a basket when you can use a baby bathtub, a diaper bag, or something else that becomes part of the gift?

I loved creating things for people. Sometimes I'd see a picture or watch a video and think, "I can make that!" And off I'd go.

The business faded, but the creativity never left.

I still make things for people. I still get excited when an idea pops into my head. And I still love the process of turning a pile of random materials into something beautiful.

Looking back at these pictures made me smile. It also reminded me how much joy I've always found in simply creating.

Maybe it's time to make a little more room for that kind of joy again. 💚

I think I've been telling you about Barbados all wrong.

I've given you the dates.
I've shown you the villa.
I've told you the price.

But I don't think I've really told you what I'm creating.

This isn't just four nights in Barbados.
I'm creating a few days where eight women get to put some things down.

No hosting everybody.
No taking care of everybody.
No trying to squeeze relaxation in between a packed itinerary.

Just a beautiful villa, a ridiculous infinity pool, the beach nearby, good conversation, laughter, rest, connection — and enough room to do absolutely nothing when absolutely nothing is what you need.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of taking eight women to Costa Rica. That experience taught me a lot about what happens when women give themselves permission to step outside of everyday life for a few days.

And apparently, I wasn't finished. 😊

So April 9–13, 2027, we're doing it again.

This time in Barbados.

I'll be sharing more over the next few weeks about what the experience actually feels like, who it's for, what we're planning, what we're NOT planning, and some of the things women have asked me about traveling with a group when they don't know everyone.

Because maybe you don't need another vacation.

Maybe you need a few days where nobody needs anything from you.

The SoundBed is officially open for appointments at The Green Coterie. 💚

And if you’ve been wondering, “Okay…but what exactly does it DO?” 😂

Think of it as an experience you don’t just hear — you feel.

You lie back, put on the headphones, and the sound travels through the bed as gentle vibration. Music in your ears. Frequency beneath you. Nothing you have to perform, figure out, or be “good at.”

You just lie there.

That’s it.

Some people may come because they want a few quiet minutes to themselves. Some will be curious about how it feels. Some may simply want to unplug from everything for a little while.

Whatever brings you in, the experience is yours.

SoundBed appointments are now available:
