Blackwood Farm Park Part 2:

Blackwood Farm Park in Chapel Hill is another local hidden gem definitely worth checking out!

This 152 acre family farm has been converted to a park in the last few years and has so much to offer. Aside from the connection of historic buildings and loads of informational signs about the history of the farm, the local wildlife, the native plants, and the habitat, it includes over 4 miles of trails, a huge pond for fishing, a picnic shelter and picnic tables scattered throughout, and an ampitheater.

The park is a beautiful visit for the whole family, so pick a sunny day and go explore!

Living in harmony with nature is rewarding in countless ways. The mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits have been well documented for centuries and many of them are now also scientifically backed - like how forest bathing increases immunity, or sunlight literally makes us happier. Never underestimate the power of deepening your relationship with Mother Earth ❤️

If you haven't visited Cape Fear Botanical Garden in Fayetteville, GET OUT THERE!! It's such a beautiful place with a plethora of plants, small creatures, information, beauty, and connection. 10 out of 10, and I didn't even go in the spring!
