When it comes to sweet things--let's be real--it all catches my eye. 😂 BUT if it involves caramel or pecans or chocolate? Oh, man. Count me in. 🤤

To continue with the turtle theme. . . Sometime in the neighborhood of 2009, college students were constantly inserting the phrase "awkward turtle" into any lull in conversation or otherwise awkward situation. It was often accompanied by its very own aw

kward turtle hand gesture -- one hand on top of the other, with thumbs and pinkies for legs/flippers. I've endearingly adopted the name Awkward Turtle for my business as a nod to the realization that we're all awkward in our own special way.* I'm learning to be ok with my own awkwardness (and, often, lack of speed). For those willing to stick around through the slow awkwardness, I think we all have something sweet and wonderful to share--and I believe that's true whether we're talking about handmade ice cream or each of us are made to be. 💙

*to adapt a saying from my dear friend's baby brother ;)
