Keep Virginia Beach Above Water

Keep Virginia Beach Above Water Mismanagement and rampant corruption have made the City of Virginia Beach insufferable for residents.

Local officials serve to personally profit a few legacy names, while the public suffers a never-ending cycle of rising taxes and destruction of property.

Virginia Beach Planning Commission this Wednesday has a McLeskey du jour on the menu. Municipalities that value their residents take land away from reckless builders and put it in public land trusts. Virginia Beach takes public land and hands it to developers so they can negligently overdevelop the property, and then make residents pay for the consequences. Vote them all out!

Do you have thoughts about the Marlin Bay development? With only 2 days left, it’s time to make your voice heard.

If you think Virginia Beach City Council has stopped data centers because they 'said' they would -- you are wrong.

It is, yet again, a distraction to win your favor -- then immediately turn against the public to assist developers in harming residents.

Take the Flood Bond Referendum for example -- 73% of voters agreed to have their taxes increased for flood protection projects. What did we ask for in return -- **"Stop developers from causing flooding!"**
Easy enough right -- it's the law.

Even so, these laws 'don't apply' to pet-builders in Virginia Beach. So on September 7, 2021, council unanimously agreed to add this provision to their commitments should us peasants fund flood protection projects which couldn't possibly be to assist their developers in more negligent development, because council agreed to stop developers from causing flooding...right...?

Would you believe 'some' council went back on this vote -- Mayor Bobby Dyer, Rosemary Wilson for Virginia Beach City Council, and Councilman Michael Berlucchi. Of course you would. And for the reason everyone already knows -- because developers told them to.

So if you think council's resolution against data centers will stand -- all it takes is a letter from a developer and it will be undone tomorrow.

**PUBLIC COMMENTS due June 5**
Regarding the Interfacility Traffic Area and Vicinity Master Plan update - NO INDUSTRIAL ZONING!
Email: [email protected]

This is PUBLIC LAND the VBDA is attempting to convert to PRIVATE industrial use at a discount.
* Disestablished the VBDA Virginia Beach Economic Development - 'manufacturing' is not now nor has it ever been an 'economic driver' in Virginia Beach
* Take back our public spaces
** REMOVE Mayor Bobby Builder-bro Destruction Dyer - it's the only way to stop the industrialization of Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach City Council 👀
Scheduled for approval next Tuesday. It's when residents aren't watching very closely we wake up to 44 acres of a manufacturer of data center equipment in public agricultural land.
