💛 SOMERVILLE SHINES GOLD 💛
This one is incredibly personal for our family.
Many of you may not know that when our granddaughter Amelie was just 2 years old, she was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain stem. She is now 4, and our family has experienced firsthand just how quickly childhood cancer can change a family’s world.
During some of those incredibly difficult times, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance has been there to support our daughter and her family. They have also been there for so many other families walking a road no parent should ever have to walk.
Now our daughter wants to give back. 💛
On September 26th in Somerville, Texas, she is hosting Somerville Shines Gold — a Childhood Cancer Awareness Fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting Candlelighters.
We are reaching out to our BBQ family, friends, fellow pitmasters, businesses, vendors and everyone who has supported Smokin’ Ruben’s over the years and asking you to help us SHINE GOLD for these little warriors. 🎗️
There are so many ways to help. You can become a sponsor, donate a product, service, gift card or silent-auction item, contribute toward the event, attend and support the fundraiser, or simply share this post and help us spread the word.
