6/18/26 Good Afternoon. It’s been a very busy morning. I’ve started a BIRRIA, an authentic recipe, using vegetables, dried chilies, beef broth, vinegar, Roma tomatoes and more. The Top Round was braised with a beautiful crust and added to the broth. I used plenty of herbs, and spices. I hope to have this dish tomorrow, and hopefully house made tortillas using premium
Lard and organic flour and corn masa.

We have dinner specials listed online, luncheon specials too. I’m making additional Goat Cheese Cheesecakes and Izzy is doing up a batch of our famous Chocolate Chip-Heath Bar Cookies, we did them early. We still have a small quantity of GAZPACHO AND SUMMER MARINARA and don’t forget our Italian foods we’ve imported. My new batch of Ciabatta Bread will be baked today and Ciabatta sandwiches will be back soon.

6/17/26 Good Morning. We have the temporary link on the page for ordering, hopefully our online site will be available soon.

We have some great foods available today, lunch and dinner specials listed online under lunch specials. We also have our 100% organic Spanish Style Gazpacho, and our Summer Marinara, another 100% organic offering. We use local vegetables from Amy's Garden, she grows some of the finest vegetables in Virginia. The Summer Marinara is a favorite of my wife, Carol, she ate it just about daily while pregnant with Izzy, hard to believe that was 21 years ago. We have many house-made desserts, pies, cannoli, cheesecake, tiramisu and more. I hope to bake cookies either today or tomorrow, and hopefully starting my Birria today or tomorrow too. The collards have come in, now I need to cook them, they’ve become a local favorite for sure.

We haven’t received any orders for Father’s Day, poor dad, don’t make him cook his own meal. We will do Duroc Pirk Baby Back Ribs , Smoked Baked Beans, Collards, Pulled Pork and Lobster Rolls. We will NOT do Prime Rib, prices are ridiculously high.

June 14, 2026 Good Afternoon. I am pleased to announce the completion of my SUMMER MARINARA SAUCE, made with 100% organic ingredients sourced locally. The formulation includes three squash varieties, sweet onions, basil, peppers, Swiss chard, green onions, garlic, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Parmesan Reggiano, Italian San Marzano D.O.P Tomatoes, among others. Each quart is priced at $22.00 and can be purchased alongside a bag of Italian Pasta or potentially paired with goat cheese ravioli.

6/13/26 HOT DAY….COLD SOUP….SPANISH STYLE GAZPACHO, all organic. We use premium Spanish Reserve Sherry Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cucumbers(burpless variety) Sweet Onions, Tricolor Peppers, Fresh Herbs, Filtered Water, Garlic, and Italian Tomatoes, San Marzano. We will do our SUN GOLD TOMATO GAZPACHO IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS, Amy knows we’re waiting on Sun Gold Tomatoes.

Today’s Gazpacho calls for a nice Loaf of Bread, a French Rose, Garlic Grilled Shrimp, and a sunset table with great music and conversation. Get a quart today, it will be nice and cold by 6 PM.

6/13/26 FRESH. LOCAL. ORGANIC. I insist on the freshest and cleanest ingredients, and when shopping local I choose Amy's Garden for our ORGANIC VEGETABLES. The price might be a little higher, but for no chemicals or pesticides, and certified organic you can't go wrong, I've been using her vegetables for over 20 years!

The trip to the market yielded many wonderful fresh ingredients, a kid in the candy store describes what I feel whenever going to market. The aroma of ORGANIC BASIL fills the air, the MARGHERITA PIZZA will reappear today for this amazing basil, and possibly even PIZZA CAPRESE...so many things I want to make. The market inspires me, pulls me out of a rut, chef's need that or we become bored and go through the motions. My hope is to make a SPANISH RED GAZPACHO TODAY, AND HOPEFULLY MY SUMMER MARINARA. I purchased Berries today, possibly making Fruit Tarts, Peaches purchased need to ripen, maybe cobbler next week.

We would love to see you out today, Pizza Caprese and Margherita Pizza with fresh vegetables will be amazing. I purchased Heirloom Tomatoes, Cherokee variety, I could go on for days, love what I do, and love cooking for you, hope you feel the love.

6/13/26 Good Morning. I'm heading over tot the Farmer's Market this morning. I'm looking for tomatoes and vegetables for my Gazpacho and Summer Marinara. I'll also look for some local fruits, peaches, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries if any are left around. I hope to work on these treats today and tomorrow.

We might even have a nice cold Caprese Salad if we can find tomatoes and they aren't too high in price, saw some yesterday for $2 each, they were nice and maybe that's the new normal price, everything keeps going up. I'll keep you informed if things go well at the market.

6/12/26 The BANANA CREAM PIE AND COCONUT CREAM PIE are set-up enough to purchase. The Chocolate-Orange Cannoli Cream is ready. I've sliced two Goat Cheese Cheesecakes, they are already going fast. We also have our House made Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and like all of our house made desserts they're made with organic ingredients.

We aren't just baking dessert items, my CIABATTA BREAD is available by the loaf or for our House Special Ciabatta Sandwiches, including a SMOKED PRIME RIB CIABATTA. I MADE PIZZA DOUGH TODAY, ACTUALLY EVERYDAY THIS WEEK...come get some great food, order online for pick-up or delivery.
