It was truly an honor and a privilege to serve your customers, guests, staff, and community on such a special day. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the energy throughout the event made for an incredible experience.

As a veteran-owned family and business, Memorial Day carries a deeper meaning for us. While many see today as the unofficial start of summer, a day for BBQs, gatherings, and time spent with loved ones, the true meaning of Memorial Day runs much deeper.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance. A day to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving our country. These heroes never made it home to their families, their children, their spouses, or the lives they planned beyond the uniform. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today.

So as we fire up grills, gather around tables, laugh with friends, and create memories with family, take a moment to pause and reflect on why we have this day. Remember those whose names are etched into the hearts of families forever. Remember those empty seats at dinner tables. Remember that freedom has always come with a cost.

To our fallen heroes — we honor you, we remember you, and we thank you.

Join us for Concert for Our Veterans at Village Park as we come together for an afternoon of music, community, and honoring the men and women who have served our country.

We’ll be serving up your Smoked@225 favorites from
2:00 PM – 5:30 PM, while The Britins – A Beatles Tribute take the stage from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

As we approach Memorial weekend, take a moment to remember what this weekend truly represents. It’s more than cookouts and long weekends — it’s a time to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Their service and sacrifice are the reason we can gather together today.

The Cookout Graduation Celebration on Saturday was more than we could have ever imagined. We are still overwhelmed and filled with gratitude from the amount of love that walked through those doors.

To every person who showed up to celebrate this moment with us… thank you. To see so many familiar faces and so many people who made time out of their busy lives to support us and The Chef means more than words can truly express.

The stories, laughter, conversations, and moments shared throughout the evening reminded us why we do what we do. One of the most beautiful things to witness was seeing people who walked in as strangers sit down together and leave feeling connected, heard, and like family. The common denominator was 225, and we will never take that lightly.

To everyone who showered The Chef with love, cards, gifts, hugs, and words of encouragement — thank you. Your support fuels him more than you know.

And for those who could not physically be there, please know we felt you there too. We received your messages, letters, calls, and well wishes, and every single one touched our hearts.

We are beyond appreciative and thankful for this part of the journey and even more thankful that we get to share it with all of you. Thank you for riding this ride with us and allowing us to be part of your lives.

We truly tried our best to hug and thank every single person who showed up. If we somehow missed you, please know it was never intentional. The room was filled with so much love and excitement, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who walked through those doors.

A very special thank you to our team/family. You all allowed me the freedom to step away, mingle, laugh, and actually enjoy the moment. This celebration would not have been possible without each and every one of you. Thank you for always supporting my crazy ideas and standing beside us. We are lucky to have you in our corner.

Last but certainly not least, a very special thank you to the amazing team Three Cellars for allowing us to take over for the evening. Thank you for opening your doors, creating space for us to celebrate such a special milestone, and serving our guests with love! We are forever grateful.

So… what’s next? Well, the possibilities are endless. Just know THE CHEF is always smokin’ up something 😉. Stay tuned.
