GRAND REOPENING JULY 15
1pm - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday both locations for Grab & Go
08/07/2025
Life is tender and stupid short.
Love people out loud.
Ive been trying to follow up with a customer about a final delivery for the last few weeks—leaving several texts and messages, i just figured-hoped she was off having fun, we’d connect when it was time.
Last night, I found out she very unexpectedly passed away.
I may not have known her deeply, but in this place, customers often become family.
Familiar names. Regular orders. Kind smiles. Small conversations.
When you cook for someone, check in on them, remember their favorites—
you start to care not just for their meals, but for their spirit.
These little touchpoints—the meals, the moments, the quiet ways we show up for each other—they matter.
And when they stop, they leave a quiet but mighty space behind.
So friends…..
Say the thing.
Kiss your friends.
Hold the hug a little longer.
Love, everyone.
Dont wait, just do it.
🧡When the world knows you need a smile!
Just a little love from a jar of caramel sauce

Life is crazy busy- we’re all running fast, tracking our steps and scheduled out to the max. Many of us have come to heavily rely on quick eating options when mealtimes come up. With such a high variety available these days, eating out is easy, delicious, and often fun! My husband and I certainly enjoy exploring a new restaurants menu and it’s convenient on nights when life side swipes me, but it gets expensive fast usually ending terribly for both my waistline and my budget. I might be addicted to small bite appetizers and fancy cocktails with egg whites.
Our family is growing! I am suddenly the second smallest person in the house! The last few years have been a whirlwind of change. We experienced multiple events that really threw a wrench in what is normally a smooth sailing ship. Id like to say it was always something major and catastrophic that knocked me off my feet but if I’m honest, most of the time it was just life. The Dr. apt lasted longer than it should have. I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer before I went to work. The crockpot I thought I’d turned on before leaving sat unplugged all day. Or my favorite, all the ingredients I intended to use miraculously molded overnight. I tried to keep swimming with the basics of taking care of the house and family but often wound up “cheating” when it came to meals, choosing to throw a hamburger at my kids or declaring it a “Get it Yourself” night where even cereal is an acceptable option. KFC really loves the fact that my family moved literally within walking distance. Somehow, it’s easy for me to feel better about it when they’re eating mashed potatoes and gravy and not French fries and ketchup. I lied to myself and my husband over and over saying, “we just need to get thru this week then we’ll get back into a better routine.” He was much nicer to me than I was about it.
What previously came so easily to me, suddenly wasn’t so simple. I lost sleep over my inability to get dinner ready before bedtime every night and it was rare if we sat around the table. I knew we needed change. The circumstances of life have slowed down and I’ve been able to slowly come back to my old way of doing things. Making meal plans a month at a time. Taking time to make lists and shop, not when it was convenient- but when I can get the best deals. I used to pride myself on my stupidly low grocery budget and my ability to make an ungodly amount food out of a seemingly modest pile of groceries. Feeding my family and many of my friends and neighbors for a week.
But in these last few weeks with the kids out of the house and the return to the quiet mornings of fall I’ve been able to reflect on the blessing it is to have the time, now knowing what it feels like to not. I’m grateful. I know many people that are in the same boat I’ve been in recently. Struggling to just be present in daily life, let alone make sure there’s a nutritious meal ready when it needs to be. Maybe you’re like me. The overwhelmed mom who’s struggling to keep up with the changing demands of my growing families’ schedule. Maybe you’re the one in charge of meals for a family with varied dietary needs? I’ve heard the hearts of a few of my friends who struggle to make good food for their whole family when there’s severe allergies in the mix. They’ve often complained about feeling overwhelmed in making multiple options, one for each person as it was difficult to find something that worked around the allergies but was also appetizing to everyone. Maybe you’re a family with kids just leaving, now needing MUCH smaller meals than what was once necessary. Your time and interests have changed, it would be a nice change to have the days free to pursue new hobbies or old hobbies abandoned than worry about meal prep. Or maybe you’re a new family, just bringing home a precious new baby. You need to heal and bond and learn what this new life of yours feels like. The last thing you want to worry about is what to eat! That’s where I can help!
I have the time and don’t know how to cook small. Food is LOVE. Let me love you and your family by making sure you’re covered with a hot meal proven to please at least 5 out of the 6 members of my family. If you’ve ever had a meal with us or met my son James, you know, he never eats. AND I have a fun plan! Take a look at the Services tab, and learn more about the different options I have available and when they change. I can’t wait to love on you and help give you an extra minute to breathe in your busy week, with meals made fresh weekly in a kitchen filled with music, love, and magic.
