🤍 A Message to My Clients & Community 🤍
Over the last several hours, many of you have seen posts circulating about my business. I never imagined I would have to make a post like this, because I have always believed customer matters should be handled privately and respectfully. However, I have worked so hard to build my business from the ground up I will be making a public statement. I feel it’s important to share my perspective.
First of all I am truly sorry that this situation occurred. A wedding is one of the most important days in a person’s life, and I hate that a misunderstanding impacted such a special occasion. This was never my intention.
What has not been fully shared is that throughout our conversations, the event was repeatedly referred to as “next weekend”. while the written date was also included in our messages I genuinely believed the event was scheduled for the following weekend. It was a misunderstanding on my part not a decision to ignore an order or fail to show up.
Also I understand I messed up by not providing my website nor a contract agreement. I was genuinely trying to make sure the customer was going to get a beautiful dessert spread for her wedding day. That being said the customer was on a budget that I was willing to work with to provide the absolute best for her and her now husband. I also recognize that I should have provided my written policies and a contract for this order. That was my responsibility, and since this incident I have taken steps to ensure every client receives my policies and contract moving forward.
The moment I realized the mistake, I immediately called the client, sincerely apologized, and offered to begin preparing the exact desserts immediately so they could still have desserts for their celebration within a few hours if they chose to move forward. I also offered a complimentary two tier celebration cake for a future event, or a complimentary tasting box, and issued a $250 refund in an effort to make things right.
I completely understand that the client was disappointed, and I respect her right to share her experience. However, I also believe it is important that people know I did not ignore the situation or refuse to help once I became aware of the misunderstanding. I took responsibility for my part, apologized immediately, and offered multiple solutions in good faith and a full refund has been issued.
To everyone who has supported Enchanted Sweets By Reina from the very beginning, thank you. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of creating desserts for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, and so many other special moments. My clients have trusted me with their most important celebrations, and many have become returning customers because of the care, creativity, and dedication I put into every order. Your continued support, kind messages, and referrals mean more to me than words can express.
This will be my only public statement regarding this matter. I won’t be engaging in online arguments or speaking negatively about anyone involved. I will continue doing what I love creating beautiful desserts, serving my community, and earning the trust of my clients one order at a time.
Thank you to everyone who has shown me grace, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
With love,
Enchanted Sweets By Reina 🤍✨
