One of our fave parts of being located on the Common is that people walk by on their way to and from schools, churches, meetings, appointments, etc and inevitably notice studio progress and items of interest like the catalpa tree. Today’s visitor proposed my fave barter arrangement to date. He’s a CT antique dealer who built an off-grid place in the nearby woods decades ago & wonders if I’d be interested in trading a beautiful big pulley he has in his shop for future meals for him& his wife. Yes, please. IYKYK 😜
