Rain taps the window at Sweet Nate’s Coffee downtown. The trees and lights blur soft green and gold through the wet glass. There’s a record .. yes vinyl .. playing some 1944 Ella Fitzgerald “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall”. Coffee is dark and rich… I’ve got maybe ten minutes before work and this is a quiet part of the day even if a fleeting moment. I’ll take one last sip, pull my collar up and step out into the rain grateful for the whole small ritual of it.
Yes this is really happening 🥰

Sweet Nate’s will be closed on Saturday, July 4th, so that our team can enjoy Independence Day with family and/or friends. We will be back open on Sunday, July 5th, at our regular hours.

We hope to see you there with all our fingers intact!

Our deepest sympathies go out to Charlotte and the rest of Dave’s family and food truck team. Dave was one of the best of Toledo’s Food Truck Family. He will be missed.
