Dizzy is down. A traumatic brain injury has caused short term and long term memory loss, reading problems, not knowing family including wife and kids, etc. The doctors say it may come back, a little at a time but have no time table. The BBQ rig has been shut down for quite a while but this page still likely has lots of followers so I thought it was worth a shot. Thank you

I am sad to say that for personal reasons, Dizzy's Smokehouse won't be operating with any "regular" hours at a permanent location for the foreseeable future. I will be able to do some isolated private bookings and public events here and there, and promise to pop up every now and then for a daily or weekend service. I would like to thank each and every one of you that supported me through this venture and I apologize for disappointing you by leaving. This may not be a permanent thing. The business was doing very well.......you guys were awesome, but unfortunately life throws us curveballs sometimes. In the meantime, Dusty with The Hunger Void will be opening in my old spot at 300 N Webster in Taylorville. I'd appreciate it if you'd show him the love you've shown me as he's getting going full time now.

If you've been missing me like I've been missing you, come see me at Stonington Summerfest for the next three days. The menu will be a little different than our usual daily offering was but you can still get your craving cured for smoked pork belly, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. Friday 5pm-Midnight, Saturday 11am-Midnight and Sunday 11am-10pm.

We're in Springfield today at The Tipsy Toad, serving up some grub and listening to some tunes. Come on out for Sunday Funday and see their new beer garden.....you won't be disappointed.

The beer garden is coming along nicely and we can't wait to show you all what we have been up to!
