Food security affects more people in our community than many of us realize. Having reliable access to healthy, nutritious food shouldn’t be a privilege — it’s a basic need that impacts every aspect of life, from physical health to emotional well-being.

As costs continue to rise and resources become strained, more families are struggling to keep food on the table. This is where our community can make a real difference. Whether it’s volunteering at local food banks, donating to community pantries, supporting local farms, or simply checking in on a neighbor, every act of kindness helps strengthen our shared safety net.

Attached are some local food resources available to help those in need. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly if you or someone you know could use additional support or guidance — we’re all in this together.

When we come together, we ensure that no one has to face hunger alone.

Between 12-1pm today sombody dropped off several boxes of food to my giving table. We appreciate your willingness to help, however more than half the food you left was not safe! Items that are to be kept cold or frozen CANNOT be left out on my giving table. We follow all health department guidelines to ensure that the food people take is safe. If you have cold/frozen donation, please please message me or knock on my door to ask if I can take them. Cold food just left I cannot ensure its safety and I must throw it away. One reoccuring item that keeps being left is cooked bags of beans from the food bank supplied by Emergency Food Network. These must be kept cold, so leaving them out on a warm day I have to throw them in the garbage. Please think twice before you just drop food off at my table or any other table you come across.
