Everything is legal! We had to update the commercial food permit with the new name! I’m passionate about keeping things clean, legal and following health codes! My extensive experience in the food industry makes this process a breeze! We love this community and want to keep everyone healthy and safe!!

Meet our espresso!
Every espresso we serve begins with relationships. Our beans are roasted locally by a roaster(hi, Neutral Grounds 👋🏻)who has traveled to the farm, met the growers, and sourced the coffee through direct trade. It’s coffee with a story—from farm, to roaster, to fika haus, to your cup.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taste-testing drinks and creating a menu that lets this espresso shine. We can’t wait for you to experience it with us.

Hey all 👋🏻 we get several questions that sound something like this - when is this happening?! When are you opening?! So here’s a quick update on the process: we are still working and waiting and planning over here. All of our major equipment has been ordered and will be installed next week. Praise Be! We are stoked. It’s almost a pinch me moment of it’s actually happening! We will be working on our systems, developing our menu, taste testing drinks, working with our super cool local roasters, and researching. Always researching! We don’t have an exact open date yet as building something so special takes time! We continue to push forward and wait on Gods perfect timeline and trust it. My nervous system thought I was in a hurry but I’m slowing down instead. Rebecca and I want to thank you all for your continued support, your excitement to have quality pastries and coffee in our local town. It means so much to us! In short, we are still working things out, everything’s good, it is just taking time. Can’t wait to fika with you all.

Things are coming together and we can’t wait to be your neighborhood specialty cafe on wheels 😅 right here in our small town sutton, ne!
Fika (fee - kah) Haus was inspired by the coffee traditions woven deeply into our Scandinavian roots — from Sweden to Denmark to Finland!

Some of my earliest memories of coffee were with my grandma, sitting together in her kitchen dunking graham crackers into little cups of black coffee. She and her sisters would gather often for fika — sharing coffee, conversation, and Swedish rusks around the table. It was never just about the coffee; it was about slowing down and connecting; enjoying each other’s company. They for sure would’ve ordered coffee and pastries ‘for here’ instead of ‘to-go’ ☺️

That tradition stayed with us. As we dreamed about creating Fika Haus, we knew we wanted to bring that same feeling to our local community — a place to pause, gather, and enjoy life together over a really good cup of coffee and sweet treat.

Across Scandinavian culture, coffee has always been more than a drink — it’s a ritual of comfort, hospitality, and togetherness. We’re bringing a taste of Scandinavian coffee culture to our community with handcrafted coffee and freshly baked pastries served from our little fika haus trailer 🚚
