Our beef comes from the Italian Romagnola breed, an incredibly unique breed that originated in the Romagna region of Italy. 🇮🇹

Romagnola cattle are known for their distinctive light gray-to-white coats, impressive muscle development, hardiness, and high-quality beef. They’re also a breed with a long history that has seen its numbers decline over the years, making preservation of these genetics especially important.

That’s part of what makes what we do at Tex-Ken so special. Randy Thompson is one of the largest Romagnola breeders in the United States, with a passion for preserving and continuing this unique Italian breed right here in Texas.

So when you sit down for a steak at Tex-Ken, you’re not just getting a steak. You’re getting a taste of something pretty rare. 🥩

What a weekend! 🤠

Y’all kept us hoppin’ from open to close, and we can’t thank this community enough for showing up the way you always do. We truly appreciate every single person who walked through our doors.

Just a reminder that Tex-Ken Ranch Steakhouse is closed today as our staff celebrates our nation’s 250th birthday with their families and friends.
